This is an iNaturalist project that aims to document all species of Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies) in Alberta. This information will help build a database of what species exist provincially.
Because it is an iNaturalist project, participating is easy. Just take a photo of any moth or butterfly you encounter using the iNaturalist app, add the species name if you know it, and press the “Submit” button. Your observation will automatically be added to the project. You can view the results anytime on the project website.
