CitSci Alberta supports the advancement of citizen science in the province by increasing awareness and promoting citizen science-related events.

If you would like to add a citizen science event, first join the CitSci Alberta Directory; if you have already joined the directory then fill out this online form to add your event. Events can relate to all things citizen science, from webinars on how to undertake citizen science, to an outdoor or online event for a specific project. You can also add post-event resources such as webinar recordings, slide decks, and reports, using the following online form.

The Citizen Science Alberta Community of Practice hosted a regional event as part of the 2022 C*Sci Conference! On May 26 we watched keynote speaker Dr. Mónica Ramírez-Andreotta. Dr. Ramírez-Andreotta is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at the University of Arizona. Using an environmental justice framework and participatory research methods, she investigates exposure pathways and communication strategies to translate environmental health research to action and achieve structural change.
